1) What is a cookie?
Cookies are short text files that are downloaded to the User’s electronic device when he or she visits a website. At each of the User’s visit to the website already visited, the cookies are sent back to the website that sent them for the first time (so-called «first-party cookies») or they are sent to a third-party website (so-called: » third-party cookies «).
2) What are cookies used for?
Cookies have different purposes, in particular they allow:
a) to facilitate User’s navigation on websites, as they allow websites to recognize the User’s electronic device;
b) collect data in aggregated form (e.g.: number of Users who visit the website);
c) storing User’s preferences (e.g. language selection);
d) analyse User’s behaviour for a targeted sending of advertising according to user interests.
If a User does not want cookies to be downloaded to its electronic device, the User can deactivate them at any time.
3) What types of cookies exist and which ones do we use or may be present on our website?
Here are the three types of cookies that, depending on the purpose, may be placed on a website and we shall communicate for each type any eventual use on our part.
a) Technical and analytical cookies (used by Eurocultura srl)
Technical cookies are essential as they enable functions without which it would not be possible to fully use the website and therefore allow the correct operation of some sections of the website. Technical cookies are used by us and not by third parties, so they are first-party cookies.
Technical cookies are of two categories persistent and session:
a) persistent: once the browser is closed they are not destroyed but remain up to a present expiration date;
b) session: they are destroyed every time the User’s browser is closed.
Technical cookies can be disabled by changing the settings in your browser.
These cookies, always sent from our domain, are necessary to view the website correctly and will always be used unless the User does not change the settings in its browser (thus disrupting the display of website pages).
We also use analytical cookies, which are assimilated to technical cookies, and are used to statistically analyse accesses or visits to the website and are exclusively for statistical purposes and not for marketing or profiling purposes, and collect information in aggregated form without possibility to trace back to the User’s identification. These cookies as well as technical cookies can also be deactivated and / or deleted via the browser settings.
The cookies used are in detail set below:
• ASPSESSIONID – session (coming from the server) necessary to identify the single session of a User;
• cookie Directive – name of the univocal cookie that tracks whether or not the User has read the cookie policy, as described on the notice that is displayed at the User’s first visit to the website;
• cookies related to the User’s browsing pages (if used) – only to allow the return to a previously viewed page;
• cookies related to services for the User (if any) – such as User name and password, which allow you to avoid re-entering the same information several times during the visit or a subsequent visit.
b) Profiling cookies (not used by Eurocultura srl)
Profiling cookies aim to analyse the behaviour of the User who accesses and uses the website, for marketing purposes in particular to send advertising messages to the User. Profiling cookies require User consent and in the absence of consent, the User will be able to access and browse the website, unless it is impossible to access the functions or contents that use these cookies.
We do not use cookies for User profiling.
c) Third-party cookies (may be present on our website)
While browsing a website, there may be elements (e.g. maps) of other domains that reside on a server other than the server where the requested page is located. Therefore, third parties can set cookies while the User visits a particular website.
These cookies are used to collect information on the use of the website made by Users anonymously such as: pages visited, time spent, origins of the traffic of origin, geographic origin, age, gender and interests for the purposes of campaigns marketing.
Our website has included the service offered by google maps that contains the search and display of maps and google (so-called «third party») could enter without our knowledge without cookies to obtain information.
The management of the information collected by «third parties» is governed by the Notice provided by the «third party», to which reference shall be made. To ensure greater transparency and convenience, given that our website uses «google maps» we report the link to the google cookie policy page: http://www.google.it/intl/it/policies/technologies/cookies/
4. How to disable cookies?
